Creating a thwaite

A thwaite is an area of wild land that was typically cleared for cultivation. At this property, an area approximately a 1/4 of an acre in size was cleared to make space for a growing space. In the region of 20 - 25 trees were either crown raised or felled and removed and chipped to leave an open, light and airy space ready for productivity.
